On 16 of November my mother came home from work early. When she came into the house, I saw that she had brought a large pot in which there were the seeds and gardening tools. I was glad to see it all because I love farming. We have reviewed the contents of the pot and decided not to unpack as there was no soil and fertilizer.
On Saturday we went to the woods to pick mushrooms and look for black soil type. Every year I go to the forest to collect mushrooms. We gathered a lot of mushrooms and going to the slope we noticed good soil. We loosened it and poured into a package. It
turned out well that there was a charred rotted stump nearby which is
good fertilizer for the seeds. We went home and in the house we put
seeds in this soil. After a couple of days, I saw how bright green shoots began to sprout out of the ground. There were noticeable onion roots. They were little and long, they had white color. “Feathers” of onions grew on the eyes. Lettuce gradually grew up with every day. It rose higher and higher. In 2-3 days after planting it rose by 2 cm and a week later separate leaves appeared. Their length was 3-4 cm. They were light green. In winter, the sun is not so bright and sets earlier that is why seedlings grew slowly. Chinese cabbage germinated slower than the rest of the plants. In December,I put together the first crop of onions. The result was a large bunch not to fit in one hand.We cut it and added to soups and salads.I liked it. Cabbage and lettuce are still growing.Maybe in a month there will be a good crop and I will share with you.
