The day began with a formal thank you to the Agricultural Academy for providing seeds and expertise to the program of planting low glycemic index vegetables.
Then each child gave a report on their window garden at home, which had been planted in January.
A discussion of a healthy lifestyle for individuals with diabetes produced posters illustrating what the children had learned.
The children helped the cooks prepare a healthy lunch meal, which they ate before a session of dancing and sports began.
After a long session of planting seeds and working in the garden, a dinner of red caviar was served while educational discussions were held. The theme for the day was Russian cuisine.
A beautiful result for the day is shown below!
